Heavy wear to the glaze. Light brown spots along edge. No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. This plate is fine for display, but it is not recommended for food service due to the wear to the glaze.

History for the Preservationist:
Syracuse China used a stencil airbrushed technique in 1937 calling it Shadowtone. Other manufacturers developed their own versions of airbrushed patterns. This method of decorating was particularly popular in the 1950s and 1960s. Today these patterns are some of the most highly sought after pieces by collectors.
