SOUTHERN PACIFIC RR HOSPITAL HARRIMAN BLUE PATTERN CREAM PITCHER-NR
This rare cream pitcher was made for the Southern Pacific Railroad’s hospital system. In the early part of the 20th century, the SP maintained 15 hospitals for employees. The largest was in San Francisco and had 250 beds. This pitcher is in the Harriman Lines standard Harriman Blue pattern, used by the constituent railroads and steamship line that made up the Harriman System. The pitcher was made by Maddocks and is in excellent condition with some minor age rust spots and a shallow chip on the foot (not visible when displayed). The side logo is crisp.
